Nose Job by experienced Nose Specialists

The nose is the most prominent feature on a human face. The goal of nasal surgery is to achieve a harmonious facial profile with a natural result, to eliminate health problems or respiratory disabilities.

Preparation for the surgery

Because of the complex structure of the nose, nose surgeries are technically sophisticated. During the preliminary examination in the clinic before the surgery, the patient can tell her/his expectations and requirements in detail. It is important to consider the patient’s face shape and nose characteristics and the most appropriate nose shape will be discussed with the patient. The preliminary examination before the surgery is important for the doctor to learn the patient’s expectations and to explain to the patient how these expectations can be realized. In the preliminary examination performed in the clinic, the patient can explain his/her expectations in detail.

Surgical Methods of Nose Job (Rhinoplasty)

Which method is used for a Rhinoplasty depends essentially on the particular initial findings, the physical conditions such as skin thickness and facial structure as well as the needs and wishes of the patient. The surgeries are generally classified between the open and closed Rhinoplasty:

The closed rhinoplasty: It leaves no visible external scars.

The open rhinoplasty: The open procedure is leaving a small, barely visible scar between the upper lip and the nose.

Piezo Rhinoplasty: Piezo is an electric instrument that has a diamond tip to cut nose bone and shape the nose inside. This method is an innovative technology. While the internal structure of the nose is corrected, the surrounding tissue and skin are not damaged.

Deviated Nose Surgery (Septoplasty)

There are many people whose nasal septum is asymmetrical and crooked. Small or large deviations on the central part of the nose are common. It becomes more problematic for patients when the crooked or deviated shape of the nasal septum exceeds a certain limit. The reason can either be natural or could be caused due to an accident. A deviated septum can impede normal nasal breathing. If both nasal passages are not used equally during breathing, the asymmetric distribution of the nasal passage volume is increased. The paranasal sinuses and middle ear function can also be impaired over a longer period of time.

The nasal septum correction is the internal correction of the nose and it is called septoplasty. Aesthetic rhinoplasty is the external correction of the nose and it is called rhinoplasty. Both surgeries can be combined in one surgery and the combined surgery of nasal septum correction and nose correction is called septorhinoplasty. Septorhinoplasty is one of the most common rhinoplasty surgeries. A septorhinoplasty treats both medical and aesthetic ailments. Such simultaneous corrections of the inner and outer nose are as complex as the anatomy of the nose itself and require professional experience. The surgical correction of the inner nose (septoplasty) during an operation is often bundled with any desired optimization of the externally visible shape of the nose (rhinoplasty).

Revision Nose job (Second Rhinoplasty)

A revision second nose surgery is performed with experienced nasal surgeons in the rhinoplasty. In addition to the surgeon’s experience, various other factors are decisive for a second rhinoplasty, e.g. the tendency to bleed and thus the swelling during the operation, the individual scar formation, the follow-up treatment and also the behavior of the patient after the surgery.

The shape of the nose after the first nose job will change in the weeks and months that follow. When the swelling recedes, irregularities that were previously concealed by the swelling can become apparent. The nose generally takes at least a year to reach its final shape. Therefore, the patient should not decide on a revision surgery before this time has expired. As it is already important to entrust yourself to an experienced doctor for the first operation, this is even more important for a second surgery.

Nose Tip Surgery (Tipplasty)

With a nose tip correction, the focus of the nose surgery is on the tip of the nose. Soft tissue and cartilage tissue are removed to model the tip of the nose. Sometimes cartilage from your own ear can also be used to build up the tip of the nose. This allows the tip of the nose to be optimized and changed in many ways. Both a reduction and lengthening, as well as a lowering or raising of the tip of the nose are possible as part of a nose tip surgery.

Recovery after Nose Job

After surgery, the surgeon can place a plaster splint in patient’s nose, which should remain for 7 days. Instead of cloth-like packing material, silicone packing is used so that the patient does not experience any pain during the extraction of packing in the sinuses. Avoid blowing your nose in the first days after the surgery and ball sports about 2 months.

Swelling and bruising on the nose and around the eyes will be retiring in about 1-2 weeks. Temporary olfactory dysfunction or numbness of the nose may occur in some cases.

In the nose surgeries; nasal hump removal, nasal narrowing, nasal septum correction, reduction of the turbinates, nasal tip correction, nasal wing correction, nose correction could be performed. The type of nose surgery is decided together with the patient. The latest techniques are used in nose correction.
