Cosmelan and Dermamelan Treatment for Pigmentation Disorders

Cosmelan, Dermamelan Peel are unique multi-ingredient treatments to reduce hyperpigmentation of skin from acne or scarring, pregnancy mask, sun damages and spots, discoloration, melasma, lentigo, chloasma and freckles. Melasma is a chronic condition causing hyper-pigmentation of the skin. It is often identified as dark brown or greyish patches on the forehead, cheeks, upper lip and chin.

The principle of a Cosmelan Enzyme Peel, Dermamelan Intensive Peel is to reduce the excessive melanin production in the skin with a unique complex of active ingredients. This effectively removes or alleviates hyperpigmentation. Cosmelan regulates overproduction of melanin in the melanocytes, inhibiting and controlling the appearance of dark spots. It achieves long-term results by keeping hyperpigmentation under control or even totally eliminating existing hyperpigmentation and preventing its reappearance.

How does a Cosmelan Treatment works? 

–  First, the skin is cleaned and prepared for the treatment
–  Then the Cosmelan 1 mask is applied. This mask remains on the skin for 8-12 hours, depending on the skin type.
–  After the exposure time, the mask is removed from the patient at home. Since Cosmelan leads to increase blood circulation in the skin, the skin may be reddened 1-2 days after using the mask.
–  The patient then applies the after-treatment cream Cosmelan 2 twice a day at home for two weeks.
–  From the third week onwards, the cream only needs to be used once a day for another 2-7 weeks.

After treatment

The treatment is more suitable in cold weather, in winter. Strict application of a sun protection cream, mesoestetic melan 130+ pigment control, is very important during the entire treatment period. The patient should avoid direct sunlight during the treatment period. The treatment is suitable for all skin types.

The treatment is suitable for the zones: face, neck, décolleté and hands. 1-2 weeks after the start of treatment, the patient can already see a significant improvement in the complexion and a decrease in pigmentation. After 4 weeks, 95% of the pigmentation has already decreased in most patients.
